ORPC has formed a strategic partnership with Canadian independent power producer, Fundy Tidal Inc., to develop a tidal energy project in the Bay of Fundy off of southwestern Nova Scotia.

The initial project will be installed in the robust tidal resource of Digby Gut at the entrance to the Annapolis Basin. Studies performed by Acadia and Dalhousie Universities have verified the desirability of this area for tidal energy development.

ORPC is very pleased to be working with locally-owned and operated Fundy Tidal, whose community-focused marine energy projects are already turning Digby County, Nova Scotia into a thriving center for marine energy development. Our collaboration promises to help ORPC advance other tidal energy opportunities in Nova Scotia and throughout Canada as well.
